The UFC has added a female featherweight bout between Holly Holm and Megan Anderson to UFC 225 on June 9 in Chicago.

Sources confirmed to ESPN the 145-pound matchup, following an initial report by Chicago Tribune. The UFC 225 pay-per-view event will take place at United Center.

It will mark the first non-title female featherweight bout in UFC history. The promotion opened the division last year but has promoted only title fights to this point. Cris “Cyborg” Justino is the current champion.

Holm (11-4) is a former bantamweight champion. She challenged Justino for the 145-pound title in December but came up short via unanimous decision. She is just 1-4 in her past five bouts.

Fighting out of Jackson-Wink MMA in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Holm’s recent record is a little lackluster, but it has come against elite competition, including Miesha Tate, Valentina Shevchenko and Justino.

Anderson (8-2) is a former champion of all-female promotion Invicta FC. The 28-year-old Aussie hasn’t fought since January 2017 but is riding a four-fight win streak.

The winner of this summer matchup will be in a good position for a title shot. Justino is coming off a dominant title defense against Yana Kunitskaya in March.
